Vivek Mathur and Saikat Lahiri are passionate about financial planning and investing. They enjoy studying the financial markets and educating people about personal finance and investments. They used to work "for the man" in the IT industry for many years, but find their current line of work more rewarding, in every way possible. So who are they ?
Vivek worked in IT Project Delivery for over 17 years. Along the way, he developed a keen interest towards personal finance, investing and trading, which is now his full time job and he goes in to work with a smile every day. His first book on personal finance (check it out here) has been published and the 3 people that read it have said with some degree of conviction that it wasn't a complete waste of their time.
Saikat also worked in IT for over 15 years, as a programmer, project, program and portfolio manager and for a few years as a corporate trainer. He developed a passion for investing and trading in the last decade. In his spare time, Saikat writes case studies for business school students. He also enjoys traveling and experiencing other cultures. He is an avid reader of "junk" fiction, and fancies himself as a writer of the same ilk, although his first book will likely never be published!
